Last month we were approached by Glasgow based sports photographer Craig Watson. He wanted to know if we could supply him with a Scottish version of our Rugby Ball Light. Unfortunately we don’t yet produce a lamp for those North of the border, but this sparked a conversation with Craig around his work and current projects. It turned out that one of our very early unbranded prototypes would be ideal for him to use.
Armed with our lamp, Craig went to Murrayfield and was fortunate to shoot newly-appointed Scotland Captain, John Barclay. After adding the SRU and Gilbert logos in post-production, this is the final shot. A fantastic image using our lamp in an innovative way.
Now obviously we’re not claiming any responsibility – but since we started the project with Craig, Scotland have had their best start to the 6 Nations for many years. Rugby in a different light?
